Barn Finds

15 legendary cars lie dormant in barns scattered across Japan. Each one only appears once you push your Discover Japan stamp high enough, and then a radio rumour hints at what's waiting inside. Every car, region, stamp tier and clue below is pulled from the game.

How Barn Finds work

The barns don't show up on day one. As you explore Japan you build your Discover Japan explorer rating, and every new tier you reach reveals a fresh batch of barns, automatically pinned to your map. Boost the rating by winning races, hunting mascots and collectibles, and playing story events. The festival's radio DJs tease each find with a rumour before you get there.

  • Seven stamp tiers gate the finds, from Yellow up to Gold.
  • Reach a barn to trigger its reveal cutscene; the car is a rusted wreck.
  • The crew restores it through ten stages; pay credits to finish it instantly, or wait it out.
  • The car is free either way; restoration is the only cost.

Barn Finds FAQ

How do you unlock Barn Finds in Forza Horizon 6?

Barns stay hidden until you raise your Discover Japan explorer stamp. Each new tier (Yellow, Green, Blue, Pink, Orange, Purple, then Gold) reveals more barns, which are marked automatically on the map. Earn stamp progress by winning races, finding mascots and collectibles, and playing through story events.

How many Barn Finds are there?

There are 15 Barn Finds, all hidden across the Japan map. They range from a humble 1989 Nissan PAO to the Le Mans-winning Mazda 787B.

Do Barn Finds cost credits?

The car itself is free, but it comes out of the barn as a wreck. The festival crew restores it for you, and you can pay credits to have it finished instantly, or wait for the restoration to complete on its own.

What is the first Barn Find you can get?

The 2005 Honda NSX-R GT in the Ohtani region. It only needs the Yellow stamp, so it is usually the first barn to appear on your map.
